Today, many hotel properties have systems in place to offer you more comfort and ease of technology for these systems, while providing a superior guest experience.
As you make your travels plans, the level of guest services is high on your list. Here are a few things you may want to consider when booking your room.

If you haven’t noticed, the days are gone where you walked into your room, changed the thermostat setting and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the room to reach your desired temperature.

Some hotel properties offer you a mobile app for these additional features. Once you register online or seconds after you check in, an app can be available for download to your smartphone or mobile device. Using this app you can then set the accommodations for your room. You can set your room temperature, select the entry music genre, lighting and so on.

Using these mobile apps and services offered at the front desk, gives the hotel property the ability to capture the guest preferences and build profiles for each of their guests. This can ensure that the next time you visit the property, those accommodation features that you enjoy can be offered and suggested immediately to you.

With guest room management systems, there are many benefits to the hotel property.
Guest room management systems can reduce the cost of energy and manage it efficiently. Some of these systems have the capability to detect when a room is unoccupied. When a room is not occupied, a different room temperature can be offset, therefore saving energy.

Security can be another great measure within the guest room management system. Access to the hotel property room may have different access codes. Your room key may have a certain code in it while housekeeping and other departments on the property may each have their own code in their card or access key. This will now allow the system to determine not only who entered the room but also at what time.
