David’s fascination with technology and its use as an entertainment and communication medium began in grade school where he first put his hands on a lighting console and was hooked. After high school, he attended Carnegie Mellon University where he studied Theatrical Lighting and Sound Design. This was the beginning of a 23 year career in integrated technology.
David found himself immediately in Las Vegas after graduation as an apprentice on the first “mega show” EFX at the MGM Grand. The work never stopped for David and he since has been involved in installation and design of the technology for nearly every resort in Las Vegas. David has worked for several of the nations largest integrators as the design engineer on projects such as Wynn Las Vegas, Fashion Show Las Vegas, Gallery Nightclub, Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, and the Smith Performing Arts Center. David also has had a career as a mix engineer where he was the Head of Sound for Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo Resort and also as a front of house engineer for Cirque du Soleil’s Mystere. Dave is currently researching new technology to further the exciting new medium of interactive audio/video systems and 3d projection mapping.
